i'm secretly a 40 year old urban yuppie soccer mom.

several women from my high school have landed up at real simple! I suppose it makes sense given the fascist suburban mom aesthetic that surrounded us during our formative years. I am a little jealous, but I wonder whether it would become tedious quickly. How many reviews of down comforters and standing graters can you do?

It's OK, J.

If I had my way I would make Allure into a respectable beauty publication.

I'm secretly a 40-year-old drag queen.

forgive the ignorance, but is real simple the one that has the "new ways to use old things" section? for example, using seam rippers as ways to clean out the brushes in your vacuum cleaner? 'cause i think that would be a fun job: now, how many ways can i use this old pillow case?

you are correct, lilbunny! that's one of my favorit sections. some i already knew about some simply mesmerize.

i like to see how they do their like shortcut everyday recipes, like how campbell's beef stew + frozen mashed potatoes + bag of frozen peas and carrots = shepard's pie. i've never tried the recipes to see if they will satisfy my oh-so-sophisticated palate. perhaps that will be a future blog.
