I hope this visual aid hints at the entertainment portion of the evening. Actually, last night I saw an episode of the Oblongs which was a little take-off of "Troop Beverly Hills".
i'll be attending wedding #2 of the year so unfortunately i can't be there. but we'll have to plan a post-birthday celebration in nyc--perhaps after wedding #3...
ack! and that would have given me the perfect excuse to purchase some outrageous jewlery! i shall be flying towards the time zone of the j on the 17th... so no can do. bummer to the max. :(
To the "ack, I'll be in the wrong time zone" (or at a wedding/reunion) girls: I understand and hereby grant you a "Buy one crazy piece of jewelry and write it off as a birthday expense" card to use in the next two weeks. zuppe and km, I'm looking forward to seeing you and won't leave you with the dishes this time!
I had such a great time last night-- Zuppe and km were my friend anchors amongst the eclectic new haven crew. it wouldn't have been half as fun without them. the outrageous jewelry was in effect, so much so that most baubles that would usually be a lot of flash didn't look that outrageous. Jewelry that makes noise (anklets and necklaces that went jingle-jangle) were my accessories of choice. Thanks also to starbright oogi and her d.f. (dear fiance) for ringing in 28 with me today. frillseekers, you girls got my back.
